   A. Echolist announcements were not being posted in the Echolist echo
This problem was solved when the batch file that operates the Echolist
Robot was modified. Apparently, a change in Windows XP caused the
batch file to malfunction. While no updates were lost, the announcements
      were not being made.
    B. The origin of the announcements changed, and the announcements were not
processed. The problem was recitifed when the Echolist Keeper was made aware of
       the problem by 1:123/500

AUGUST 2008
Hardware problems required that all MARCH, 2008 MODerator UPDate
messages be re-processed. All dates for updates appear as 12/31/2008

MARCH 2008
The numbering system for the Echolist and the Echolist rule files has been changed
to ELISTyydd and ELRUyydd to allow for correct sorting. The MARCH and
MARCH Echolist archives will be rehatched this month with the updated
   file names.

MARCH 2008
Due to equipment problems, the MARCH, 2008 Echolist was not published....the MARCH,
2008 Echolist contains information for MARCH and MARCH 2008.

MARCH 2007
   Echomail/Routed Netmail problems
Reports indicate a problem with echomail in the Echolist Echo and routed netmail not being
delivered part the node that serves as uplink for the Echolist Robot. New Echomail feed has
   corrected problem.

an inaccurate listing for the Echolist Robot. Do NOT attempt to crash mail to
   the Echolist Robot.

CHANGE IN SUBMISSION MODES

no longer accepts crash netmail. Moderators are encouraged to use email
for faster turn around and better security than netmail.

is now contained the in ELHIxxx.TXT file.

echolist@fidonet.us and the email of the Echolist Keeper is now

SOME BAD DATES IN MARCH 2003
Due to a hardware error, the Echolist Robot was using dates in
   2002 instead of 2003 from MARCH 3, 2003 through MARCH 10, 2003.
Between MODerator UPDates resubmitted and editing of the database,
it appears that all information in the database is correct.

Echoes deleted and relisted by other than the moderator are subject
to return to the original moderator if deemed appropriate by the
   Echolist Keeper.

   Echolist which contains accurate information

ECHOLIST SYSTEM CRASH
Subsequent to the the creation of the Echolist in MARCH,
1:261/1352 suffered a TOTAL system crash. All MODerator UPDate,
MODerator DELete messages, ECHOlist QUERIES and rules
submissions that were submitted on or after MARCH 1, 2001
   (10/01/2001) were lost.

The ECHOLIST Database was last backed up on MARCH 30, 2001
   (09/30/2001) when ELIST110.ZIP was created.

ECHOLIST SYSTEM RESUMES OPERATION
The Echolist system resumed operation on MARCH 28, 2001
   (10/28/2001)

When the ECHOLIST system resumed operations on MARCH 28, 2001
it received both netmail and email messages that were on hold
at the respective uplinks. These messages will be processed in
   the month of MARCH, 2001.

It is important to note that many messages that were sent via
Crash Netmail and/or email MARCH not be in either the database or
in the messages due to be processed.

Moderators who made submissions between MARCH 1, 2001 and
MARCH 28, 2001 are urged to resubmit their updates to 1:1/21
   or via email to echolist@fidonet.us

Affected moderators should also submit the response from the
Echolist Robot to them to the Echolist Keeper at 1:261/1352 or
via email to echolist AT tlchost.net

Should a conflict in listings occur, the Echolist Keeper will
use message dates and confirmation messages as a tool to
   determine the most correct updates.

NAME CHANGE
Effective MARCH, 2001 The Echolist has been renamed
The International Echolist to more accurately reflect the
   international nature of its contents.
